Hi! I’m Mary…
I’m the founder of the Rue Franklin Studio in Washington DC, a self-taught abstract artist who seeks to spread joy through sharing her creative process and endeavours.
I’m an Irish woman from County Cork, and I have lived and worked in Dublin, London, Lyon and now Washington DC. I’ve seen the world through the eyes of a native, an immigrant and a visitor - this changing perspective is what inspires me to think a little differently, and an underlying theme of community and belonging can be seen in every canvas I create.
Living in DC, and being surrounded by politics, speeches, debates and motorcades, has inspired me to be part of the wider conversation of Democracy in America.
